Why Wetlands?

Wetlands are one of New Zealand's most endangered resources. Some areas in New Zealand have lost over 98% of their lowland wetlands, however these figures have not recently been updated. With the increasing pressure of development, many pockets of wetlands are being lost.

This is the holding page for www.wetlands.co.nz, a site dedicated to New Zealand's wetlands.

Information will be available here shortly. Should you have any queries, or wish to share your wetland location, experiences and/or issues please contact anne@wetlands.co.nz
